This composition can be heard in Bob in Dacron—Second Movement approx 2:13 thru 3:00—It is played at a much slower tempo.
Le Concert Impromptu cover this piece on their album, "L'Empreinte Digitale".
There are three separate entirely different woodwind quintet pieces. I believe Barfko sells the score to Number 6—or is it Number 7—I can't get to zappa.com right now . . . but I'm certain they sell music to one or all three of these works . . .
The "wind quintet" is an awesome piece of music . . . all 42 seconds of it . . .
I read a review in Het Parool (a dutch paper) about the cd with Zappa Compositions by the french wind-quintet Le Concert Impromptu. In the review they call the Zappa composition 'Wind Quintet' the least accessible (which immediately raises my curiosity).
