The Gateshead show from two days ago, uploaded on Dime, included another previously unheard, unidentified instrumental (preceded by a prerecorded electroacoustic vignette, similarly to "Number 2" in previous concerts). Any ideas what this is? Another one of the 1978 "insertion units"?
I just saw that a user at dime posted the following . . . "FYI. The Instrumental, track 201, is titled 'Van Moldred'. They are alternating this composition with the one entitled '#2.' Got this info from Keneally."
It seems related to 200 Motels.
On first listen it sounded to me like a CPIII era sketch played by a live band, but there is one theme that appears more than once that reminds me of "This Town Is A Sealed Tuna Sandwich."
FZ mentions the title "Mouldred" in the Society Pages interview from 1989.
ROB SAMLER: Did you ever find a name for Mouldred, or a place to use that name?
FRANK ZAPPA: Mouldred? Not yet.
DEN SIMMS: You've been toying with that one for a while, huh?
FRANK ZAPPA: Yeah, well, y'know. They come, they go . . .
