1982: Essentially performed as on YCDTOSA Volume IV.
1984: Essentially played as on YCDTOSA Volume IV.
1988: Essentially performed as on YCDTOSA Volume IV, allowing for obvious differences in instrumentation.
The Turbans released "No, No Cherry" (Caesar/ J. Gray) as a flip to "Tick Tock A-Woo" (1955, recorded in 1954 on Money label, out of Los Angeles; owned by John Dolphin, who also owned the Cash label). These are not the same Turbans (from Philadelphia) who recorded for the Herald label ("When You Dance", see "Billboard Top R&B Hits: 1955", 1989), but a group from Oakland, California; they would later change their name to the Sharptones. "No, No Cherry" (2:35)—together with "Tick Tock A-Woo", "The Goose Is Gone", and "When I Return"—can be heard on the various artists CD "Doo-Wop from Dolphin's of Hollywood, Vol. 1" (1992, Specialty SPCD-2173-2).
